Bryan Vanderhill is a singer/songwriter/worship leader from Charlotte, NC. For the past 20 years he has led the contemporary worship services at Messiah Lutheran Church. Bryan was raised mostly in northeastern Ohio (go Guards!) but has called Charlotte home for over 30 years.

His musical influences include the Beatles, Elton John and a lot of the 60's and 70's rock and roll artists. He first learned to play a guitar at age 13 and, like most kids who played the guitar, he dreamed of playing in a band someday. For a long time the guitar was just an occasional diversion until the summer of 1998 when Bryan was asked to help form a praise team for a new contemporary worship service.

It was also about that time the the Lord began to lead him into songwriting. Since then Bryan has written over 70 songs, most of which mirror his spiritual journey over the past 20 years. Many are worship songs used often in services at Messiah, while others are more personal and reflective.

Bryan has taught in public schools for the past 30 years, mostly 6th grade math. He also loves coaching middle school softball and home improvement projects. He is married to an amazingly supportive wife, Karen, (going on 41 years!) and has two beautiful daughters, Reagan and Kelsey.

Most of the songs available on this site were written in the past 5 years and recorded in Bryan's home studio. It is his hope and prayer that the lyrics and melodies would inspire the listener to a greater understanding and love of our Savior, Jesus.
